New year - New bet part 2A

Welcome to our little Bet

How did this bet start?

In 2009, my friend Bethany and I had just gotten wii’s and we made a bet to see if we could exercise 5 times a week for 10 weeks. I ended up losing 10 pounds in those 10 weeks without really dieting at all and I was hooked!

Later that year, Bethany died in a tragic accident and I realized I was “waiting” for something, what I didn’t know…the fat fairy to come along and magically zap my unwanted weight away? So, I called up my sister and my friend Holly and we hammered out a Diet bet instead of a wii bet and the Diet Pact was born. Our time frame was 40 weeks with a pound a week. I ended up losing 55 pounds, my sister ended up losing 35ish and Holly 30ish. It was grueling but worth it. We took time off…and had an extremely hard time getting back on the Pact…in fact we tried to get it started a number of times and failed miserably…10+ gained to be exact.

This summer (2012) during a family vacation together we resurrected the Diet Pact. This time around it is a yearlong pact, our longest yet. Our dad is joining in on the bet as well. I am excited to see how we do in a year’s time.
